The company

Dzinza — the lineage of a nation's assets.

Dzinza (Shona: lineage) builds and operates the digital public infrastructure that records what a nation owns and moves. We hold the implementation; the State holds the data and the mandate.

We started with a simple conviction: the systems that record a country's most important assets — its herds, its movements, its certificates — should be owned by the country, not rented from a vendor. That belief shapes every product we build.

So we build differently. The standard is open, so no government is ever locked in. The data and the mandate belong to the State. We operate the platform under a concession — and commit, in writing, to hand stewardship of the standard to a neutral national body. We earn our place by running it well, not by owning the lock.

It's named Dzinza — Shona for lineage— because that's what a good registry is: an unbroken, trustworthy record of where something came from. Built in and for Africa, starting with the SADC region.

Who we work with

Three constituencies, one platform.

Each Dzinza product serves the same three groups — and keeps them in balance.

Governments

Veterinary authorities & ministries that adopt a Dzinza platform as their own sovereign system, on their own domain, under their own law.

Industry

Software vendors, abattoirs, auctions and producers that build on, and run on, our open standards — on equal terms with everyone else.

Partners

In-country operators and investors who help take sovereign infrastructure across the continent, instance by instance.
